I actually got enough sleep last night. At 10 pm I walked away from my computer intending to wander upstairs and quiet the missing-of-Howard with a little Buffy. (I already finished the Monk episodes that he left for me) Instead I turned off all the lights and went to bed. Smart move.
Now it is Sunday morning and I feel good. The kids are all playing Windwaker. Well, Kiki is playing, Link is on the tingle tuner, Gleek and Patches are watching. But the point is that they’re all cute and happy and having fun together. I think I’m going to make french toast for breakfast. That will add to the happy.
Formula?
Cute + happy + french toast = Cute + more happy.
What’s a tingle tuner?
It’s cool that both of you posted getting tons of sleep and feeling good 🙂
You can hook a GBA up to Wind Waker so that a second person can be Tingle and find secrets and such for Link. It’s a fun way to go two-player (well, to be honest, it’s more like one-and-a-half-player) in that game.
I like the multi-player turn that the Zelda games have taken lately…
So you’re the person who took my sleep on Saturday night. Ah well – I hope you enjoyed it. 😉
Still, it sounds like y’all had a decent morning. I also have to agree that the GBA->GC connectivity’s a neat idea, though I’m rather hoping that they incorporate the wireless capabilities of the DS or the new Wireless Adapter for GBA into the GC or its successor soon, so you don’t have to mess with the cables to connect to the main unit. That’d be a heck of a way to do multiplayer, though – one person to handle the small-screen stuff in the GBA while the other does the large-screen maneuvering and so on.
One example that comes to mind is a Mario-Kart style off-road driving game, with the GBA-connected player being the navigator for the team (“Take the next left, so we can get that Star boost! Also, we’ve got the Koopa-car just behind us with Bowser, so if you could hold a straight course for a few more moments while I release this shell…”).
