Our backyard contains tomato plants with ripe tomatos. It also contains a baseball bat. Link is 7, Gleek is 3, Patches is 18 months. Guess what I’m washing out of their clothes today. . .

Ooh. I’m wincing for you, for the clothes, and for the tomatoes. Fresh tomatoes are SO good. I just wish they’d survive the summer down here. August kills them.
OH MY…..
I can visualize. 🙂
Washing them?
Did you consider just putting them in the basement and letting them sprout?
Kids taking after Dad?
Didn’t Howard and friends do something similar in your backyard in Provo?
Re: Kids taking after Dad?
Yup. I have pictures of Howard, Chalain, and a third friend batting tomatos across the yard. Only they were green tomatos gone rotten because they’d been frozen. We may play green tomato baseball with the kids after the first big freeze. The advantage of green tomatos is that the seeds aren’t able to sprout in unintended locations.
