Today Kiki was sitting nearby when Howard and I were discussing how our life has changed the last 8 months with some neighbors.
I said:
“We’re a lot happier. Much poorer, but lots happier.”
Kiki perked up and said:
“I haven’t even noticed that we’re poorer.”
Yay. I’ve done my job in providing for the kids well enough that they can’t even tell the difference.
Well, of cource you had…
Though I would, personally, venture that you aren’t poorer…
Infact, I’d call you richer… I mean, you have added a loving, caring father to the house (meaning he’s there more).
Yeah, you have less money to work with, but over all, I think you are way ahead of the curve.
And jeeze, I’m jelouse of yer kids…
Wow. And said, I’m sure, with the utterly guileless innocence of a child. I’m so happy everything’s working out…
Good for you! You win the A+ Mom award…
Re: Well, of cource you had…
I agree that we are very fortunate. I’m just very glad that the kids are able to see it that way rather than focusing on the fact that we aren’t adding 3-6 video games to our collection each year the way we used to.
Y’know, if being poorer doesn’t make you less happy, why worry about earning less money? 😀 Good trade, there!
